Welcome to FirstTaps. This Privacy Policy applies to FirstTaps, LLC's apps — FirstTaps3D, FirstTaps MV3D, FirstTaps Shelf3D, and FirstTaps CatchMeUp — our website, and related services. Because these apps offer different features, this policy notes which sections apply to which app(s).

1. Information We Collect

FirstTaps3D, FirstTaps MV3D, FirstTaps Shelf3D:

Account Information: Name, email address, and login credentials when you create an account.

Subscription & Payment Info: If you purchase a subscription, we collect billing details via secure third-party processors (e.g., Google Play, Apple App Store).

User-Generated Content: Any avatars, messages, or media you create or upload.

FirstTaps CatchMeUp:

No account or login is required.

Preferences: Your selected news sources, chosen background theme, and favorited articles — stored locally on your device.

Cached Headlines: Recently fetched headlines/thumbnails are cached locally to speed up loading and support offline viewing.

Reaction System: Users can opt-in to anonymously react to any story with a quick emoji or a canned reply — pick up to 5 per article and see what other readers think, and showing reaction counts for each article, all with zero login required.  The reaction picks and your manually selected locally-generated anonymous handle are sent to our backend.  "App activity" is being collected for this purpose.

Advertising Data: Banner and rewarded ads are served via Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

CatchMeUp does not collect names, emails, or account credentials, and does not request SMS, contacts, or media-upload permissions.

All apps:

Device & Usage Data: Device type, operating system, app version, and usage patterns, to improve performance.

Diagnostic & Crash Reports: Automatically collected to help us troubleshoot and improve stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

FirstTaps3D, FirstTaps MV3D, FirstTaps Shelf3D:

Provide and personalize your experience across devices

Enable secure login and cross-platform subscriptions

Process payments and manage your account

Communicate updates, support, and promotional offers (only if you opt in)

FirstTaps CatchMeUp:

Show the news sources and background you've selected

Remember your favorited articles between sessions

Show optional, opt-in, anonymous user reactions to articles, and reaction counts for each article.

Serve ads through Google AdMob

All apps:

Improve app performance and fix bugs

3. Data Sharing & Storage

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:

Service Providers: For hosting, analytics, advertising (Google AdMob), and payment processing

Legal Authorities: If required by law or to protect our users and platform

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. CatchMeUp's preferences and cache are stored only on your device.

4. Cross-Platform Sync & Permissions (FirstTaps3D, FirstTaps MV3D, FirstTaps Shelf3D only — does not apply to CatchMeUp)

These apps may request permissions for:

Contacts, files, and media access (for avatar creation or uploads)

Notifications (for updates and reminders)

Storage (to cache assets and improve performance)

SMS access: To enable immersive messaging within the 3D world interface, these apps may request permission to read and send SMS messages. This functionality allows users to view incoming messages and compose replies directly from within the app's interface. SMS data is used solely for display and transmission purposes and is not stored, shared, or processed beyond the device.

You can manage these permissions in your device settings.

5. FirstTaps CatchMeUp: Article Sources

Headlines shown in CatchMeUp are pulled from the public RSS/news feeds of their original publishers, shown on each card and in the article link. Tapping a headline opens the original publisher's article in your browser or a native app — CatchMeUp does not host or rewrite article content.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You can:

Access and update your account information, or delete your account and associated data (FirstTaps3D, FirstTaps MV3D, FirstTaps Shelf3D)

Change or remove selected news sources, or remove favorited articles, at any time; clear CatchMeUp's local cache by clearing the app's storage/data in your device settings (FirstTaps CatchMeUp)

Opt out of promotional communications

Request a copy of your data by contacting us

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. Changes will be posted here. Continued use of any FirstTaps app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
